WELCOME TO SCOIL NA MAINISTREACH
On behalf of the staff and pupils of Scoil na Mainistreach, I would like to welcome you to our school website.
We are extremely proud of our children and of our school community. Our drive and focus is to create a happy school environment, where each child can strive to reach their full potential. Our school motto is 'Mol an óige agus tiocfaidh siad', which means praise the young and they will flourish. This is at the heart of everything we do.
Scoil na Mainistreach has always been known as a very inclusive school, with this in mind the school opened Droichead, which are two ASD classes situated in the heart of the school. These two classrooms were opened in 2012.
2020 was an historic year for our school as we became a co-educational school. This year we welcomed our first ever girls to Junior Infants. We can now offer every child in the family a place in our school.
Alongside our wonderful children we have a great team of Teachers and Special Needs Assistants who work together to provide an enriching experience for all the children.
We also have a marvellous ancilliary staff behind the scenes, secretaries, caretaker and cleaners who are here to keep the show on the road, always with a smile, no matter how hectic the school can get.
